Since it has gravatonic accelerators, even with Quantum Drive 7s or Hyper Drive 8s it is still faster than other ships. And, with 4 torpedo tubes it can still pack a punch if necessary - though usually there are more valuable and less risky uses for a MCBR than fighting.
